Jordan came to Hillcrest in September of 2014. He's a graduate of Dayton High School and a native of Southeast Texas. He and his wife Julia Rogers have three children: Josiah, Elijah, and Addison Jordan (AddyJo). He is a firm believer in the inerrancy and authority of Scripture. He believes in and practices expository preaching, consistently preaching verse-by-verse exposition through the Bible.​ Jordan was a college baseball player, playing at both San Jacinto Junior College in Northeast Houston, and then for Rice University of Houston, TX. He was drafted to play Major League Baseball three different times by the Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, and the Chicago Cubs.
