Dear Parents/Guardians,
Jesus told over 30 parables throughout His earthly ministry to help His audience understand truths about God and His kingdom. The parable of the sower is one of the more well-known parables. While sowing and reaping seed might be an unusual image for some today, in the agrarian culture of Bible times Israel, it was a familiar image. The disciples understood the importance of seed producing a good crop. Read Jesus’ explanation of the parable in Mark 4:14-20. Then discuss the questions on the back of this week’s Family Card.
