Dear Parents/Guardians,
Once again Israel fell into sin and was oppressed by an enemy nation. The Midianites destroyed the Israelites’ sources of food. When Israel cried out to God for help, the Lord sent an angel to Gideon. After reassuring Gideon on multiple occasions and decreasing the size of Gideon’s army, Gideon prepared to lead 300 men to fight Midian. Read Judges 7:2 to see why God downsized Gideon’s army.
