Dear Parents/Guardians,
Jesus and His disciples had been traveling in Galilee, teaching and healing people. One evening Jesus told His disciples that they should cross to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. The men climbed into a boat and sailed into the sea. Suddenly, a windstorm formed. Windstorms were common on the Sea of Galilee due to its location at the base of Mount Hermon. Yet this windstorm terrified the disciples, who had been fishermen on this same sea and no
doubt experienced its storms. Read Mark 4:39-41. Recall how the disciples were afraid and cried out for Jesus’ help. Allow family members to talk about things that they are afraid of. Pray together, asking God for help trusting in Him even when we are afraid. Then discuss the questions on the back of this week’s Family Card.
